DevDuck #1 | React.js – How It Conquered the JavaScript World

We’re happy to invite you to the first DevDuck Montevideo meetup! 🎥

The event will take place online on Thursday, the 4th of February at 5:30 PM (GMT-3), and will last about 1 hour. You can participate by joining a stream on YouTube.

During the webinar Marek Chotoborski, JavaScript Full Stack Developer at Brainhub, will talk about the ins and outs of React, a front end technology used by major organizations across the world, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Netflix.

Agenda:

1. Starter: Short introduction to DevDuck

2. Main course: "How you may have come up with React"

React has entered the JavaScript world for good. Let's go on a little journey to understand exactly how and why did it happen and learn about React’s fundamentals and problems it solves.

Presented by Marek Chotoborski, a Full Stack JavaScript developer by day and a Linux hacker by night. In love with React and functional programming. Forgot how to exit vim. Fan of twisting the rules and using everything contrary to its intended purpose. Likes history, philosophy, and trivia games.
