🧉 Mate Talk is coming!
Latency vs. AI: The New Trade-Off in Live Streaming For the last five years, live streaming has been in a latency arms race — sub-three seconds, sub-one second, glass-to-glass parity with broadcast. We've spent real engineering capital getting there.
Now AI is showing up in the same pipeline: live translation, real-time dubbing, AI-generated sign language, multilingual captioning. Each one adds processing time, buffer requirements, and packaging complexity.
The two priorities are pulling against each other, and the industry hasn't fully admitted it.
In this Mate Talk we'll dig into what that trade-off actually looks like in production.
Join us with David Hassoun, Olga Kornienko, Bhavesh Upadhyaya, Sean McCarthy, Andy Beach, and our special guest Neal Roberts.
